Michael D. Lee
Partner

Michael Lee is one of the hardest working and most efficient litigators in our firm. His intellect and organization skills contribute to his tremendous output, and his personable nature and positive outlook benefit clients in and out of court, where he is both shrewd and aggressive.

Mike has handled litigation issues as diverse as secured transactions, commercial matters, personal injury suits, bankruptcy claims, probate and mortgage foreclosures. Today, a superb performer under pressure and against time constraints, Mike concentrates on a variety of matters, many of which are highly complex, regarding securities and commodities, business and commerce, labor disputes and arbitrations.

The opportunity to help others and the multifaceted nature of law attracted Mike to study it. Although he had earned a B.S. in anatomy, in the course of his law career-intrigued by the concerns and problems of industry-Mike discovered an interest in and an aptitude for business. Indeed, his clients praise him for his sense of service, his eagerness to preserve their interests and his ability to translate arcane law into cause and effect.

Mike, who has served as a board member of the Korean American Bar Association, is active in the Korean American community in a variety of organizations. In 1994 he co-founded the Korean American Golf Association, and over the years he has coached volleyball and basketball for various leagues and churches within his ethnic community. Mike is a dedicated family man of four young children. He and his wife, committed to preserving their heritage and to observing their ethnic customs, are also active in the greater North Suburban community.
